In 2019 Siemens AG benefited from the good financing conditions on the capital market and is issuing a bond for €3 billion for ongoing refinancing. As an active bookrunner, DZ BANK played a leading role in the successful transaction, thereby expanding its established relationship with Siemens AG. Most recently, DZ BANK supported Siemens in the successful spin-off of its energy business under the name "Siemens Energy" by participating in the now independent financing.

In total, the volume was implemented in four maturity bands of five to 20 years. One of DZ BANK's key strengths as joint lead and bookrunner is its strong network within the cooperative financial network. Demand from companies in the DZ BANK Group and from the local cooperative banks (Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken) played a key role in the successful placement. The more than threefold oversubscription, to which DZ BANK made a significant contribution, is a proof of placement strength on the capital market.
